Privacy Policy — Deck Tantrums
Last updated: 18 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Deck Tantrums ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. The App is developed and maintained by Equanimity Labo (an independent game studio), the data controller, reachable at equanimity.labo@gmail.com.
By installing or using Deck Tantrums you agree to this policy.
Summary
- Deck Tantrums has no accounts and no sign-in. Your run progress, lives, and chips are stored on your device.
- We do not ask for your name, email, address, photos, contacts, or location.
- An optional leaderboard feature lets you submit a nickname and score, tied to an anonymous device identifier — not to any personal information.
- We use a small number of trusted third-party services (Google AdMob and Google Firebase) that may collect limited technical and advertising data.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information collected
Stored on your device only
Your campaign/survival progress, lives, and chips are saved locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
Leaderboard (optional)
If you choose to submit a score to a leaderboard, the App creates an anonymous identifier for your device (via Firebase Authentication's anonymous sign-in — no name, email, or other personal detail is involved) and stores it together with the nickname you type, your score, level reached, and game mode in our database, so it can be shown publicly to other players. Do not include personal information in the nickname you choose. Leaderboard entries are not linked to your real-world identity.
Collected by third-party services
The App integrates the following services, which act as independent data processors/controllers under their own privacy policies:
| Service | Purpose | Data it may process |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Show a rewarded ad when you choose to watch one for extra lives | Advertising ID, device & network info, IP address, ad interactions |
| Firebase Authentication | Create an anonymous identifier so leaderboard entries can be saved and updated | An anonymous, device-scoped identifier — no name, email, or other personal data |
| Firebase Firestore | Store and serve the public leaderboard | Nickname you chose, score, level, game mode, anonymous identifier, submission time |
We do not receive your Google account credentials or payment card details. Deck Tantrums does not currently offer in-app purchases.
How we use information
- To display a rewarded ad only when you choose to watch one for extra lives.
- To let you (optionally) submit and view leaderboard scores.
- To keep the App stable and understand basic technical performance.
We do not use this information to identify you personally, and we do not sell it.
Advertising and your choices
Ads are provided by Google AdMob and only appear when you tap to watch one in exchange for extra lives — the App does not show unsolicited banner or interstitial ads. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
- Reset/limit ad tracking: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization.
- EEA/UK users: where required by law, ad personalization is governed by a consent choice.
Children
Deck Tantrums is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will address it.
Data retention & security
Locally stored game data remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Leaderboard entries (nickname, score, anonymous identifier) are retained until you request removal or we periodically clear stale entries. Data processed by the third-party services above is retained per their policies. We rely on these providers' industry-standard security measures; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International transfers
The third-party providers above may process data on servers in the United States and other countries. By using the App you acknowledge this transfer.
Your rights
Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California) you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because Deck Tantrums keeps no account, most data can be cleared by uninstalling the App or resetting your advertising ID. To request removal of a leaderboard entry, contact us at equanimity.labo@gmail.com with the nickname and approximate submission date, and we will help direct your request.
Third-party policies
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
